DIPPO organized the Provincial Advisory Council (PAC) to act as an Advisory Body that will provide the much needed external perspectives and guidance on the key issues and concerns in the PNP.
For this purpose, DIPPO Technical Working Group (TWG) in line with the Performance Governance System (PGS) established the criteria in the identification of the composition of the Multi-Sectoral Governance Coalition (MSGC) to be known as the “DIPPO Advisory Council”. The following criteria are: known for integrity, exemplified excellent leadership, model in transparency and good governance, advocate for transformation, community leader, and a source of synergy. Qualified members of DIPPO Advisory Council will sign a contract depicting their two (2) year term of office. They then formally took their oath of office together with the DIPPO Technical Working Group.
The Provincial Advisory Council shall primarily assume an important role in advising and assisting the PNP in identifying key priorities and strategic issues, in providing key insights as to aligning its policies, programs and activities with the organizational strategy, in helping to accurately review and evaluate the effectiveness of the PNP’s implementation of the strategy, in promoting the initiatives of the PNP to other sectors, in generating additional resources, and in bringing the police closer to the community and other stakeholders.
The Provincial Advisory Council does not have any administrative or operational authority for specific operational decisions within the PPO. This strategic advisory role is limited to the interpretation and analysis of the PNP P.A.T.R.O.L. Plan 2030 and the ongoing programs, projects and activities pertaining or relating to the reform and development of the PNP.
On June 9, 2014, the members of the Provincial Advisory Council (PAC) formally took their oath as administered by PSSUPT PEDRO URBANO OBALDO, JR., who was then the PRO 13 RCDS/OIC DRDO during that time.
