The recorded crime volume from January to December 2019 is 228. It increased by 7 incident or 3% as compared to the same period in 2018. The index crime represented by red color decreased by 9 incidents or 14% from 66 in 2018 to 57 this year. While for non-index crime, an increase of 16 incident or 10% from 155 in 2018 to 171 this year. On crime volume per municipality, as expected, San Jose being the capital town recorded the highest crime volume with 76 incidents followed by Cagdianao and Libjo both recorded 39 incidents and the lowest is Tubajon with 13 incidents.
For comparative data on crime against person, for the period January to December, DIPPO recorded 37 incidents in 2019 of the total crimes against person, while 34 in 2018 or an increase of 4 incidents; on rape, 20 incidents recorded in 2019 while 18 in 2018 or an increase of 3 incidents; on physical injury, 15 incidents recorded in 2019 while 13 in 2018 or an increase of 2 incidents; on murder, 2019 recorded 1 incident while 3 in 2018; and on homicide, 1 incident in 2019 while zero incident in 2018.
On the distribution of crimes against property, robbery recorded 10 incidents constitutes of the total crimes against property in 2019 while 15 incidents in 2018 of the same period or a decrease of 5 incidents; on theft, 8 incidents in 2019 while 17 in 2018 or a decrease of 9 incidents; and on carnapping of motorcycle, 1 incident in 2019 while zero in 2018.
Shown is the comparative crime clearance and solution efficiency for the period January to December 2018 and 2019. Out of the total crime volume, 80.26% are cleared in 2019 while 90.50% in 2018 or a decrease of 11%; and 63.60% are solved in 2019 while 68.33% in 2018 or a decrease of 7%.
On comparative average monthly crime rate (AMCR) from January to December 2018 and 2019, an increase of 3% in 2019 as compared to the same period in 2018.
